1.      To collect information of internally displaced people due to flood.

2.      To conduct need assessment and priority setting in terms of RH Support.

3.      To assist in RH support materials purchase.

                                    Information Collection :- Visited Public Health office and met Mr. Ram Dhan Mehata,District Heatlh Administrator and Dr.N.P.KC,Regional Health Director, Eastern Region, both reported that almost 70,000 people are affected out of which 27,378 displaced people of 4,634 families have been registered in various camps of Sunsari district by local administration .Among these 13,545 are female .District Disaster Relief committee has been formed .A post-natal care center within the premises of Sunsari hospital (maternal facility constructed by UNFPA) has been functioning .A total of 39 women(displaced person) have already received services .They also informed that almost 500 tents are being set up at Jhumka to accommodate 5000 displaced people. Similarly visited Women's Development Office, Sunsari and WDO informed that most affected VDS's are Kusaha,Haripur and Madhulam followd by Ghuski,Narsingh,Sreepur,and Laukahi.She also informed that security to teen age girls is a problem and need torch light along with cloth or other garment for their menstrual period.

                                 Gaps and deficiencies identified.-

Ø      People are residing in over crowded condition and privacy is lacking.

Ø      Assistance strategies are not well informed to displaced people.

Ø      Pregnant women are not aware on need and importance of Antenatal check up , use of safe delivery kit and use of maternal facility .

Ø      Teen age girls lack security and need cloth or other garments to use during menstrual period.

Ø      Learning facility for displaced children is not adequate and lack recreational materials.

Ø      Children and older age group needs warmer cloth for coming winter.

Ø      IEC on need and importance of ANC, PNC and delivery by trained birth attendants.

Ø      Provision of safe delivery kit to pregnant women.

Ø      Supply of torch light to teen age girls for security purpose .

Ø      Tent or plastic sheets distribution to avoid over crowding and to maintain privacy among pregnant women.

Ø      Cloth like Sari and under garment cloths for women and teen age girls.

Ø      Strengthening women volunteers' mobilization for better interaction with pregnant women.

Ø      Supply of soap and detergent for pregnant women  maintain hygiene condition
